Thanks! Welcome to our strange little family. Remember, you can take the Skipper out of the jungle, but you can never take the jungle out of the Skipper.
Sorry for the delay in answering, I’m a little backlogged! I can’t speak for DL, but at WDW it’s more of a right place, right time sort of thing. However, most of Disney management is very good about setting you on the right path. I’d recommend sharing your passion with your manager when you get there, and go from there. Good luck!!!!!

Fun fact: That truck that’s parked out front can now be seen in the “African Outpost” section of Epcot’s World Showcase. In fact, the cast members who worked there wore the old Skipper costumes for a while as well. Feel free to insert your own joke in regards to Epcot using our leftovers…
Hey kids! It’s time for another exciting edition of “Meet a World Famous Jungle Skipper!”
Skipper Sarah, aka “Skipper Bubbles”, started her adult career path with high hopes, receiving a full scholarship to Uncle Mitzy’s Clowning College, Austin campus. Bubbles was set to graduate at the top of her class, but fate interfered, and Bubbles was kicked out after an unfortunate balloon animal incident. With nowhere else to turn, Bubbles arrived at the Jungle Navigation Company with an empty seltzer bottle and broken dreams. Bubbles fit right in with the rest of the Skippers, and finally found that home she was longing for. Today is Bubbles last day with us, as she is leaving to be the Head Artistic Director at the Dallas Academy of Dinosaur Interpretive Dancing. Good luck, Bubbles!

Skipper Babs is sometimes late for work at the Jungle Navigation Company (And by sometimes, we mean all the time.) As such, he sometimes has to disguise himself so he can sneak into work…
Two years ago today, we at the Jungle Navigation Company lost our “Uncle” Joe way before his time. A great Skipper and a better friend, Joe is still missed by all who knew him. He was the rare sort of fella who was kind enough to know when you needed a hug, smart enough to be truly funny, and had enough moxy to sing “Springtime for Hitler” in front of guests on the dock for giggles. This day is always a little rough for Skips, but we are blessed for him showing us what it meant to be a family, even if it was for a short while.

Story of my life
….Or, as we like to call it here at the Jungle Navigation Company, “another day at the office…..”
